Tuning your MINI increases the demands on the 1.6L engine. It is advisable to reduce the length of service intervals when demanding more from the engine and driving the car hard.
Lohen have put together a high quality oil and filter service package to help maintain perfromance and care for your high performance enigne. This will ideally suit MINI Cooper S and JCW's running 250 BHP or more. To begin with Lohen use a Millers Engine Oil Flush to clean and clear out debris from the old oil, then drain old. The performance oil change ultilises a K&N oil filter and Millers fully synthetic Triple Ester CFS 10W50 Nano Technology formulation engine oil.
Why are we selecting the Miller Oils Triple Ester Nano Technology formulation CFS 10W50 NT engine oil?
The Nano Technology (NT) significantly reduces friction and heat generation helping to reduce the engine component wear. It does this as the formulation uses spherical nanoparticles that fill avoids in the surfaces of the engine components effectively coating them and making them ultra smooth. Less resistance means less wear and greater operating efficiency
Designed to run at higher operating temperatures seen in modified cars. The CFS 10W 50 NT will withstand higher opperating temperatures before breaking down than a lighter oil such as 5W30. The higher weight will prevent the oil thining out at the higher temperatures thus giving extra protection.
The thicker oil will reduce burn and break down over a lighter weight oil meaning fewer deposits in the turbo oil feedpipe helping to preserve turbo health.
