The generation 2 MINI Cooper S and JCW are known to leak from the turbo oil feed pipe from time to time. Lohen has worked with Goodridge to product a flexible much more heat resistant braided oil feed pipe that should overcome the problems of the original. Further the flexible pipe is much easier to install than its rigid alternatives.
It is suggested that the turbo oil feed pipe is always replaced when installing a new turbo to ensure good flow of oil.
This braided turbo oil feed pipe is silicone covered which acts as a fire retardant and chafe protector, with a higher than the standard operating temperature of 260°C. This makes it essential for high-performance MINI's.
