
Janspeed Performance Exhaust Manifold for MINI R50 and R53
The Janspeed manifold is one of the best available for the new MINI, with a choice of a removable high-flow sports catalyst (cat) or de-cat pipe. The system uses a 4-1 downpipe design with increased diameter bore. There are noticable power gains to be had by fitting the manifold, it helps to improve mid-range power and torque. As the cat/de-cat section is removable it's easy to change between high-flow cat or de-cat pipe. The de-cat pipe is for off-road/track use only as MINI's legally have to run a cat for road use.
The standard manifold on the MINI is fairly restrictive and acts as a bottle neck for exhaust gases, this is one of the first parts that needs to be changed in order to increase power further.
The Janspeed manifold has longer, further developed primaries and has the largest exhaust ports on the market to our knowledge. The manifold ports on the Janspeed match the exhaust ports on even a modified ported head.
The manifold must be purchased with the catalyst or de-cat pipe, see related items for this part.
