This intercooler is a race-spec performance intercooler designed in conjunction with Forge Motorsport and fits Cooper S and JCW R55-R59 models. Designed to provide the best cooling solution for our demo car, Chilli, this intercooler allowed us to extract every ounce of horsepower available from our N14 Cooper S engine to reach a final figure of 390 bhp.
It can be seen from our dyno graphs, how during a power run at 6800 RPM this race intercooler provides consistently lower intake temperatures whilst retaining the same level of boost pressure, with the differences in intake temperatures being even greater when running higher boost pressures, as seen from the 1.8 bar power run. With the correct tuning, this intercooler will allow for a further increase in power production compared with the competition.
